Introduction

This 3 Day Turkmenistan Tour begins at the Shavat border and leads you to UNESCO-listed Kunya-Urgench, once a Silk Road capital. Here you’ll see the Kutlug-Timur Minaret, surrounded by legends of a golden dome that, according to local stories, was removed by Russian soldiers during past conquests. Continue into the Karakum Desert to witness the fiery Darvaza Gas Crater, enjoy kebabs and an overnight in traditional yurts. The journey ends in marble Ashgabat with a city tour before boarding the night train to Turkmenabat and exiting via Farab.
