Introduction

This 3 days tour Turkmenistan offers an unforgettable mix of culture, desert adventure, and Silk Road heritage. Begin at the Farab border with a visit to Turkmenabad before boarding the night train to Ashgabat, sharing the journey with locals. Explore the “White Marble City” with its monuments, museums, and bazaars, then travel into the Karakum desert to the Darvaza Gas Crater, often called the “Door to Hell.” Enjoy BBQ dinner, drinks, and stargazing before an overnight yurt stay, ending with Dashoguz and exit via Shavat.

Tour Itinerary

  • After arriving at the Farap border crossing, you will travel to Turkmenabad. 
  • Sightseeing in Turkmenabad.
  • In the evening, you will board the night train to Ashgabat. 

  • In the morning, you will arrive in Ashgabat. 
  • After breakfast, you will enjoy a city tour of Ashgabat, 
  • In the afternoon we will depart for the Darvaza Gas Crater.
  • We will arrive at sunset to witness the spectacular sight of the burning crater. 
  • Dinner will be served at a nearby yurt camp. 
  • The night will be spent in yurts or tents near the crater.

  • After breakfast in Darvaza, we will continue towards Dashoguz. 
  • Upon arrival, you will spend some time in Dashoguz.
  • We will head to the Shavat border crossing, located near Khiva in Uzbekistan

  • – Invitation letter support and Foreigner registration in Turkmenistan.

  • – Transport and guide. 
  • – Meals at Darvaza and yurt night stay at Darvaza.

  • – All the expenses of the driver/guide, including gasoline, meals and accommodation, transfer to the point of meeting at border, and separating with the guest at the border.
