Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Khiva/Shavat – Dashoguz – Darvaza
- We’ll meet you at the border with Uzbekistan near Khiva and Urgench.
- Drive to Kunya Urgench for sightseeing as requested.
- After lunch, we’ll journey to Darvaza (please note: the road is under repair, so this takes some time).
- Visit the Darvaza Gas Crater (Gates of Hell).
- Dinner at a nearby Yurt camp.
- Evening time at the crater with your guide.
- Overnight in Yurts or tents at Darvaza.
Day 2: Darvaza – Ashgabat
- Breakfast at Darvaza.
- Drive to Ashgabat, visiting the Water Crater and Mud Crater en route.
- Lunch in Ashgabat.
- Afternoon sightseeing in Ashgabat.
- Overnight at a comfortable hotel in Ashgabat.
Day 3: Ashgabat – Merv – Night Train to Turkmenabat
- Breakfast at your hotel.
- Drive to Merv (approximately 400km, 4 hours).
- Lunch in Merv.
- Explore the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ancient Merv.
- Dinner in Mary city.
- Board the night train to Turkmenabat (Options: 21:17 arrival at 02:21, or 03:29 arrival at 09:20).
Day 4: Turkmenabat – Farab
- Morning arrival in Turkmenabat.
- Breakfast.
- Transit to Farab border crossing to exit to Uzbekistan.
- End of tour services.
