Start in the capital Ashgabat with museums and monuments before heading west to the colorful Yangikala Canyons and the Caspian coast. Continue to the famous Darvaza Gas Crater, where the flames light up the desert night, and explore UNESCO-listed Kunya Urgench with its Timur Minaret and Turabek-Khanum Mausoleum. Tour Itinerary

  • Airport pickup at 06:55 AM
  • Ashgabat city sightseeing (museums, monuments, key attractions)

  • Overnight in Ashgabat

  • Departure after breakfast
  • Drive to Yangikala Canyons (~600km to Balkanabat, then 147km to Yangikala)
  • Route via Turkmenbashi
  • Evening exploration of the canyons and sunset views
  • Dinner at campsite
  • Overnight in tents near Yangikala

  • Morning at the canyons
  • Return journey toward Ashgabat via Balkanabat (147km from Yangikala)
  • From Balkanabat, continue to Ashgabat (430km)
  • Visit to Kow Ata underground thermal lake
  • Stop at the unique mountain village of Nokhur
  • Evening arrival in Ashgabat
  • Overnight in Ashgabat

  • Morning departure to Darvaza (271km, ~4.5 hours)
  • Visits to Water Crater and Mud Crater en route
  • Arrival at the Gas Crater by late afternoon
  • Evening viewing of the “Gates of Hell” Dinner at nearby yurt camp
  • Overnight in yurts or tents at Darvaza

  • Drive north to Dashoguz and Kunya Urgench
