The 5 Day Ashgabat Yangikala Darvaza Tour is a great way to discover Turkmenistan’s highlights. From white-marbled Ashgabat to the famous Yangikala Canyons and the burning Darvaza Gas Crater, this tour offers adventure and history, ending at the Kunya Urgench border.

This tour begins with arrival in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, and covers some of the most impressive places in the country before concluding with an exit through the northern border. You will see the extraordinary “white city” of Ashgabat, the stunning Yangikala canyons, the mysterious Darvaza gas crater known as the “Gates of Hell,” as well as the ancient ruins of Kunya Urgench, included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. This route also includes visits to the Kow Ata thermal lake and the unique village of Nokhur, allowing you to experience the diversity of Turkmenistan’s landscapes – from the modern capital and desert wonders to historical monuments and natural beauties.

  • Morning departure to Darvaza (271km, ~4.5 hours)
