Tour Itinerary
Day 1. Arrival in Ashgabat
- PM arrival at Ashgabat Airport (ASB)
- Meet and greet by our guide
- Transfer to your hotel in Ashgabat
- Overnight in Ashgabat
Day 2. Ashgabat City Tour
- Hotel breakfast
- Begin guided Ashgabat city tour with English-speaking guide
- Lunch at a recommended local restaurant with light Turkmen cuisine
- Continue the city tour
- Dinner at the hotel or a local restaurant
- Overnight in Ashgabat
Day 3. Dashoguz, Kunya-Urgench, Darvaza Crater
- 04:00 — Transfer to Ashgabat domestic airport for the morning flight to Dashoguz
- 06:00 — Flight Ashgabat to Dashoguz (approximately 1 hour, final time to be confirmed)
- Transfer to Kunya-Urgench (approximately 90 minutes)
- Guided visit to Kunya-Urgench, UNESCO World Heritage
- Lunch near Kunya-Urgench or in Dashoguz
- Depart by private vehicle toward the Darvaza area, drive time approximately 5 hours with photo stops
- Arrive in Darvaza around 1 hour before sunset
- Sunset and after-dark experience at the Darvaza Gas Crater, the Door to Hell, with golden-hour photos and dramatic glow after dark
- Dinner at the camp or yurt dinner
- Overnight at Darvaza in yurt or tent accommodation near the crater, basic facilities, private rooms with shared facilities where available
Day 4. Return to Ashgabat, Final City Time and Airport Transfer
- Breakfast at the camp
- Optional pre-dawn visit for crater photos
- Depart Darvaza for Ashgabat by private vehicle, drive approximately 3.5 hours with stops
- Visit Water and Mud craters on the way
- Arrival in Ashgabat and time to freshen up in private rooms with bath facilities
- Follow-up Ashgabat city tour or visit to remaining sights you would like to see, depending on available time
- Transfer to Ashgabat Airport (ASB) for your 17:45 departure to Bhutan
