The road conditions are still under construction in certain areas, so at some points the drive may slow down to 20 km/h, but most travelers find the journey comfortable and worth the adventure. Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Shavat Border (Turkmenistan side) – Dashoguz – Darvaza Gas Crater
- Meet at Turkmenistan side of Shavat border crossing (opposite Khiva/Urgench, Uzbekistan)
- Border formalities completion and departure to Dashoguz
- Arrival in Dashoguz city
- Lunch in local restaurant
- Departure to Darvaza Gas Crater (300km journey)
- Arrival at Darvaza Gas Crater before sunset
- Free time to explore the spectacular burning crater
- Dinner at nearby yurt camp

Day 2: Darvaza – Dashoguz – Shavat Border (Turkmenistan side)
- Breakfast at Darvaza
- Departure from Darvaza to Dashoguz (300km, 4.5 hours)

- City exploration and shopping time in Dashoguz
- Departure to Shavat border crossing
