I cannot thank you enough for making this trip possible for me, all the people i met wer super nice and helpful – Dowlet, Serdar, the drivers – all of them made my trip to your country special. I felt like i came to a place that was completely unknown to me and now i know more and have some friends so far away from germany. I really hope it was not my last visit in central asia, there are still some ex soviet republics that i am interested here and when i go there i will try my best to make an extra stop in turkmenistan. Your country and you people really made me feel incredible.

The three-day tour you planned was incredibly exciting and wonderful. Especially the visits to Darvaza and Ashgabat city sightseeing made me want to go back again. Next time, I’d like to visit Turkmenistan by plane. Mr. Abdyrazzak’s guiding was also excellent; he answered every question and was very friendly. I’d like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude. When I revisit Turkmenistan, I definitely want to request your services as guides again.

I had an excellent experience with Darvaza Tours. The communication from the team was genuinely high quality, with every concern or request resolved with ease. I highly recommend this company.
What truly made this tour stand out from others was my tour guide Guljan, and her super sweet and professional drivers Amir, Maksat and Dovlet. These drivers had serious skill. They knew every bump in the road and I felt safe with them the whole time amongst the fun chaos of Turkmenistan driving.
Guljan made the whole experience run like clockwork, and importantly had this amazing energy throughout the entire journey. Her focus was on ensuring we had the best time, with perfectly timed questions. Her smile was contagious and our laughter continuous.
Guljan bounced into border control, with a smile, at exactly the right time to ensure a smooth border crossing from Uzbekistan. Guljan’s intricate knowledge and openess to all questions meant I came with a real sense of understanding of Turkmenistan. And I left satisfied that I had explored every corner of the country.

Before the tour when I was enquiring and then making preparations, this agency is very responsive and answered any questions that I had in a clear and professional manner. They also helped to arrange any exit option of my choosing, this included having a guide and driver accompanying all the way to the land border so there was no need to worry about getting lost. For the entry requirements, they handled everything very seamlessly and left me without any worries.
During the tour, we had an extremely friendly guide and professional drivers who made sure that we were able to visit all sites as planned, resulting in a very jam packed schedule that was full of fulfilling memories. Darvaza Tours made the trip to Turkmenistan a perfect experience from the very first contact. Communication was excellent, and the tour was flexibly adapted to my/our schedule, desired entry and exit points, and sights. I felt relaxed as soon as I met our tour guide, Guljan, at the border, as she took care of everything. It’s clear that Darvaza Tours’ management selects its drivers and, above all, its tour guides very carefully. With Guljan, we not only saw the selected sights and learned a great deal about the history and culture, but we also felt comfortable throughout the entire days. Her positive energy and good humor are contagious, and at the same time, she is caring and considerate. Therefore, I can wholeheartedly recommend Darvaza Tours, and if I were to return, I would definitely book Guljan as my tour guide again!

Thank you for helping me on my trip to Hell’s Gate.
My trip to Turkmenistan was very enjoyable and comfortable.
It was great that I was able to contact my tourmates in advance and share a car charter.
The car cost US$60, and I shared it with 4 Japanese people, for US$15 per person to get to the border.
I found out after arriving in Khiva that Yandex was working.
On the way back, five of us shared two taxis at the border.
At US$30 per taxi × 2 taxis = US$60, so US$12 per person.
Yandex wasn’t working at the border.
Your driver did a great job driving in Turkmenistan, but the terrible road conditions made it hard.
This isn’t your fault, but I hope the government will repair the roads.
Well, this is one of my trip memories. haha
We had planned to go to the yurt first, but we wanted to see Hell’s Gate while it was still light, then we told our tour guide and he took us there.
Afterwards, we went to yurts for a BBQ dinner, which was a very enjoyable experience.
The yurt didn’t have a shower, or even tap water, but we were only staying one night so I could be torarence.
The next day, when I saw tap water and soap at the breakfast restaurant, I was happy. haha
At the desert camp in Merzouga in Morocco, the tents had hot showers and air conditioning. So I hope that Yurts will develop like that someday.
The main event, Hell’s Gate, was nice. Easy to get from yurts, it was within walking distance.
Our tour guide helped us take photos, and we had great memories and experiences.
Even though the flames at Hell’s Gate were smaller than we expected, it was a mysterious sight to see that huge crater is burning.
I was also moved by the beautiful starry sky in the desert.
There’s one thing I don’t understand…
I heard that the government is venting the gas at Hell’s Gate.
Is there a possibility that it will be closed in the future?
I got the impression that they were promoting tourist spots,
so I don’t think they’ll close, so why is the government removing the gas? For the health of tourists?
I took a lot of photos and videos, so it will probably be a while until I post them on social media. Well… I will when I have time.

I really enjoyed the Darvaza tour in Turkmenistan. Watching the blazing flames up close was an amazing experience even on a cold night, the warmth and flickering light were truly captivating. The tour guide was attentive throughout, and I had no problems at all. He supported us in many ways, from helping with photography and giving explanations at key spots to assisting during the long drives.

Thanks to the wonderful care from the drivers, Guljan, Gozell and everyone else, our trip became an unforgettable and truly wonderful experience.
What impressed me the most was the breathtaking scenery around Crocodile Rock—the horizon and the vast landscape were beyond anything I had imagined.
The Gates of Hell were even more beautiful than I expected, and the White City was fascinating, unlike anywhere I had seen before. The food was delicious everywhere, and the people were warm and kind—I felt the country to be full of charm.
Above all, I am deeply grateful to Guljan and the drivers for arranging the birthday cake and the dinner for my husband. That final day became the perfect conclusion to our journey. Thank you so much.
Gozell was so pure and delightful, and I truly enjoyed the time we spent together. I feel we have become good friends.

I booked a private 3 day tour crossing the shavat border from Chiva Uzbekistan. I was greeted at the border by my amazing guide Ishan. He felt like a big brother to me. It was super interesting to speak with him and share some experiences with him. I had almost 3 hours to explore Dashoguz before we took off to Darvaza gas crater (Gates of Hell) It really is an adventure and the crater itself truly is unique. I stayed in a yurt next to the crater. Ishan cooked a delicious meal for me before I walked we walked back to the crater so see it at night when it was dark. It is even more incredible. The accomodation was great and the next day we took off to Ashgabat.
I spent 2 days in Ashgabat with my wonderful guide Guljan as well as the driver. Guljan is so hospitable, kind and knowledgeable. She really made my trip even more unforgettable. She definitely became a friend of mine. I saw all the cool places in Ashgabat and stayed in a beautiful hotel with a great location in the capital.
Darvaza Tour makes the LOI and visa process so easy. This is the company to go with if you want a stressfree journey in Turkmenistan.
The managers Davud and Dowlet are also amazing. They all deserve huge credit for organazing tours like this. They respond very quick and always answer all your questions.

Hello.
I was very busy with work and was quite delayed in responding.
Just this Saturday, we drank wine with the participants of the trip to Turkmenistan and their families.
There was Italian and Croatian wine, so we tried to compare them.
The Turkmen wine surprised me – it was more brownish in color compared to other red wines.
The aroma and taste were also completely different from familiar wines, very interesting.
It reminded me of a traditional Japanese medicinal herbal drink (called “Yomeishu”) and seemed very beneficial for health.
Italian and other red wines have the bitterness and astringency of grapes,
but for me, preferring sweet things, the Turkmen wine seemed more pleasant to drink.
I’ll send photos taken on Saturday. Give my regards to Yusup as well.
I will recommend the trip to Turkmenistan to my friends.

【5/20 Turkmenistan DAY5 Darvaza～Dashoguz～Khiva】
At the magic hour before sunrise, I gazed at the last view of the “Gates of Hell” and fully savored the morning sun rising from the Karakum Desert, alone beside the yurt 🌅
I burned this incredibly moving scenery into my eyes! 😍
Though it’s sad to leave, it’s time to cross the border again and return to Uzbekistan.
Ugh, Turkmenistan is ending already~ 😢
The car flies through the desert once again, racing towards the border town of Dashoguz! 🚗💨
For some reason, we arrived early today!
We were supposed to arrive at 2 PM, but somehow we reached Dashoguz at 12:30~ ⏰
(We made it before the border’s lunch break from 1-2 PM~)
We headed to the Uzbekistan border, where we said goodbye to our guide Yusuppu and the others~ 👋
