Tour Itinerary
Day 1, Farab Border – Ancient Merv – Mary city
- Farab border crossing point
- Drive towards Mary city, visiting the ancient city of Merv en route.
- After sightseeing in Merv, you will proceed to Mary city.
- Overnight in Mary City.
Day 2, Mary city – Ashgabat
- After breakfast, you will begin the drive to Ashgabat.
- Upon arrival in Ashgabat in the afternoon, you will check in to your hotel.
- Free time in Ashgabat to relax or begin exploring this unique city.
- Overnight in Ashgabat.
Day 3, Ashgabat – Kow Ata – Nokhur Village – Turkmenbashi
- In the morning drive from Ashgabat towards Turkmenbashi, located on the Caspian Sea coast.
- En route, you will visit the Kow Ata underground thermal lake inside a cave and picturesque Nokhur Village, known for its traditional houses and culture.
- Overnight in Turkmenbashi.
Day 4, Turkmenbashi – Yangikala Canyons – Balkanabat – Ashgabat
- After breakfast, you will drive from Turkmenbashi to the spectacular Yangikala Canyons.
- After exploring Yangikala, you will continue your drive towards Ashgabat, passing through Balkanabat.
- Upon arrival back in Ashgabat in the evening, you will check back into your hotel.
- Overnight in Ashgabat.
Day 5, Ashgabat City Tour – Darvaza Gas Crater
- Today morning is dedicated to exploring the highlights of Ashgabat.
- In the afternoon, you will begin the drive north into the Karakum Desert towards the Darvaza Gas Crater, also known as the “Gates of Hell”. On the way, you will visit the lesser-known Water and Mud Craters. Your arrival at Darvaza will be timed to witness the dramatic view of the burning crater as dusk settles.
- Dinner will be served at the nearby yurt camp.
- Overnight at Darvaza in Yurts or tents.
Day 6, Darvaza – Dashoguz – Shavat Border
- After breakfast at Darvaza, you will drive north towards Dashoguz.
- Spend some time there before heading to the Shavat border crossing point for your exit from Turkmenistan.
- End of the tour!
