Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Ashgabat – Begin Your Darvaza Tour Adventure
- Arrive at Ashgabat International Airport (ASB) early in the morning. After completing the necessary arrival procedures, begin exploring Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan.
- This includes a comprehensive city tour to see the modern and unique architecture of this amazing city.
- Visit major landmarks, monuments, and important buildings.
- In the evening, enjoy dinner and check into your hotel in Ashgabat for overnight stay.
Day 2: Ashgabat to Darvaza Gas Crater – The Highlight of Your Turkmenistan Tour
- After breakfast in Ashgabat, enjoy free time in the morning to explore at your own pace or relax.
- In the afternoon, depart for the Darvaza Gas Crater, also known as the “Gates of Hell.”
- The drive takes approximately 4.5 hours.
- Arrival at Darvaza is planned to be just before sunset so you can see the fiery glow of the crater at its most spectacular.
- You’ll have time to explore around the crater.
- Dinner will be provided at a nearby yurt camp. Overnight in a yurt or tent at Darvaza.
Day 3: Darvaza to Ashgabat
- After breakfast at the yurt camp in Darvaza, begin the drive back to Ashgabat.
- En route, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the water crater and mud crater.
- You will also stop at a local village in the middle of the desert.
- Upon arrival in Ashgabat, check into your hotel again.
- The afternoon and evening are free at your leisure.
Day 4: Ashgabat to Turkmenbashi via Kow Ata and Nokhur
- After breakfast in Ashgabat, head west to Turkmenbashi on the Caspian Sea coast for this exciting part of your Ashgabat β Darvaza β Turkmenbashi β Yangikala adventure.
- Along the way, visit Kow Ata, a unique underground thermal lake, and Nokhur, a picturesque mountain village.
- These stops provide insights into Turkmenistan‘s natural beauty and cultural heritage.
- Upon arrival in Turkmenbashi, check into your hotel for overnight stay.
Day 5: Turkmenbashi to Ashgabat via Yangikala and Balkanabat
- After breakfast in Turkmenbashi, head to the stunning Yangikala Canyon β one of the most spectacular destinations on your Ashgabat tour.
- After exploring the canyon, the route continues to Balkanabat and then back to Ashgabat.
- This scenic drive allows you to see Turkmenistan‘s diverse landscapes.
- Arrive in Ashgabat in the evening and check into your hotel again for your final night’s stay.
Day 6: Departure from Ashgabat
- After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Ashgabat International Airport for your departure flight.
