This 1-day private tour from Bukhara offers an easy way to experience eastern Turkmenistan without an overnight stay. Cross the Farab border, explore Turkmenabat with a local guide, visit Ancient Amul, the Lebap Regional Museum, local mosques and the Amu Darya River, then return to Bukhara the same day.

Day 1 — Bukhara → Farab → Turkmenabat → Bukhara
Start your journey in Bukhara and travel towards the Farab border between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
After completing the border formalities, meet your local Turkmen guide and driver on the Turkmenistan side and continue to Turkmenabat.
During the city sightseeing programme, visit the Lebap Regional Museum, Ancient Amul Settlement, local mosques and selected historical sights. You will also have time to enjoy views of the Amu Darya River.
The programme is flexible and may be adjusted depending on border-crossing time and the amount of time available for each visit.
After completing the Turkmenabat sightseeing programme, return to the Farab border, cross back into Uzbekistan and continue to Bukhara.
Duration: Approximately 12–14 hours, including transportation, border procedures and sightseeing.
