12-Day Uzbekistan Tour: Silk Road Cities & Aral Sea Heritage
12 Days | Private Tour | Tashkent – Nukus – Muynak – Khiva – Bukhara – Samarkand – Shahrisabz – Tashkent
Discover the country’s celebrated Silk Road cities and its lesser known western landscapes on this 12 day Uzbekistan tour. Starting and ending in Tashkent, the itinerary connects Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva with Nukus, Muynak and the ancient fortresses of Khorezm. Explore the walled streets of Ichan Kala, admire the monuments of Registan Square and wander through Bukhara’s historic trading quarters. Beyond the classic city route, visit the Savitsky Museum in Nukus and the ship cemetery in Muynak, where the story of the Aral Sea adds a different perspective to your journey.
The programme combines guided sightseeing, a domestic flight, overland transfers and train journeys, with time to enjoy local bazaars and explore at your own pace. It is a comprehensive introduction to Uzbekistan for travellers who want to experience both its famous landmarks and destinations beyond the usual Silk Road itinerary.
