After completing the Uzbek exit formalities and crossing to the Turkmen side at Farab, meet your local guide and driver. Drive to Turkmenabat
After entering Turkmenistan, continue by private vehicle to Turkmenabat. Depending on the timing of your border crossing, stop in the city for an early lunch at a local restaurant before beginning the longer journey toward Merv.
